People on the Move: Sam Jazzo Joins ARPA-H as Senior Advisor

Sam Jazzo is joining the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) as Senior Advisor, moving to Washington, D.C. after nearly four years at Kaiser Permanente Ventures. In his new role, he’ll work alongside Rafid Fadul, MD, MBA, ARPA-H’s Chief Medical Officer, and Neil Wyant, Director of the agency’s Office of Commercialization, to help accelerate the commercialization of some of ARPA-H’s most ambitious and complex health innovation projects.

About Sam Jazzo

Jazzo joins ARPA-H after nearly four years at Kaiser Permanente Ventures, where he joined as an Associate in 2023 and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2025, investing in digital health and care delivery companies. He also served as a board observer for portfolio companies including Validic and Genome Medical. Before Kaiser Permanente Ventures, he was Entrepreneur-in-Training with Menlo Ventures‘ startup studio and founder and CEO of Kinometrix.

Jazzo holds a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of Miami, and both an MBA and an MPH in health policy management from the University of California, Berkeley.
